The Square Boy is a platform game, made by Natalie Vivekananda and Vinícius Palu, which your goal is to find Square's friend, Rectangle, who is lost in a strange place after partying overnight.

Controls: use the mouse in the menu and the arrow keys to play the game.

This game was made for academic purposes only. The objective was to remake a game using Construct 2 and to make it as similar as possible to the original. Since we didn't have an artist in our team, we chose to recreate an easy-looking game.

Certainly, we attempted to do some things differently. As the game couldn't exceed 100 programming events, we created a history that would last for all the levels that we defined. In addition, we've added a great deal of challenges at each level.

When it comes to the work and who did what in the project, both of us did a little bit of everything. I (Vinícius) programmed some levels and Natalie programmed others while the translation was made by Luiza Kormann. We decided the story and the level design together. As the art is simple, it was something we managed to do by ourselves.

It is our very first project that is being published and any kind of feedback will be very appreciated.

You can also play our game at Scirra Arcade where it has already achieved 182 plays by the time I'm writing this!

Thank you for playing it! :D
